Endoscopy
Endoscopy (endo – inside, scopia - see) is a method of the visual diagnostics of
some internal organs with the help of an endoscope inserted cavities via the natural routes.
The use of endoscopic methods in medicine
At present the endoscopic investigative methods are used both for diagnostics and treatment of various
diseases. Modern endoscopy plays a specific role in identification of many diseases at the early stages,
particularly of oncologic diseases (cancer) of various organs. Most often endoscopy is combined with
targeted (under visual control) biopsy, curative procedures (drug administration), probing, etc.
